Cruise on MSC Lirica, on route Dubai / Abu Dhabi / Kor Fakan / Muscat / Khasab.

Cruising is a very convenient form of travelling for a brief introduction to new countries. At the same time you ll have quite decent comfort, possibility to see new cities and countries every day without changing your hotel. In this case, MSC is very suitable for travelling with children. You can travel with two children up to 18 years of age free of charge, provided that the children are accommodated in one cabin with adults. In this case, feel free to take an inside cabin, the savings are substantial. And what difference does it make to sleep with window or without. Of course, if you can, take a cabin with a balcony. You will always have something to do outside your cabin. For the sake of economy, we try not to take excursions from MSC. Yes and preparing the trip yourself is much more interesting.

This time we travelled on MSC Lirica, on route Dubai / Abu Dhabi / Kor Fakan / Muscat / Khasab / Dubai. Here on site already written a lot about these cities, so without going into details only briefly about what concerns the cruise.

Dubai.(First and last day of the trip) From cruise terminal it is better to leave by free Shuttlee, as taxi drivers charge 10-20 Dhihrams for landing in port. Our shuttle went to Bur Juman. This is a shopping centre and a metro stop. What we didn t consider is that the metro is not always open. But there catching a taxi is not a problem landing 3,5 Dh. In the evening it is really hard to get a taxi, one refused to go to port. Arranged with private taxi for Dh40.

Abu Dhabi. Shuttle to Marina Mall. From there, take a taxi. The main thing is not to miss the last shuttle to the ship. We went to Ferrari Park. We didn t go inside – not enough time. In general there is nothing to do there, and costs a lot of money. Yas Island, where Ferrari Park is located, is located quite far from the city.

Cor Fakkan. The small town was originally planned for swimming. It was quite cool and we limited ourselves to swimming in the immediate vicinity of the ship. By shuttle to the exit from the port, then walk about 10-15 minutes in the direction of the centre. Quite a decent shore. We took a dip a couple of times and further to pool on ship.

Maskat. To the exit from the harbour is only accessible by bus. Then a short walk to the market. Buying souvenirs. We agreed with a taxi driver about 20 Euros per hour. And he drove us around the city and to the oasis. Showing us, telling us. In general we were very satisfied. For me on this trip Muscat was probably the most colourful and interesting city.

Hasab.Booked a boat tour in advance online for half a day. Great. Then there was time left and there is a shuttle to the city centre for 5 Euros. We arrived and there’s absolutely nothing to do. There’s a hole to find. It would be better to stay on a ship. By the way, the excursion on boats can be ordered directly in port when boarding the boat. I don t know the price, but I ve seen people pay on spot.
